Our Educational Principles
Berowra Christian School follows the syllabus set out by the NSW Board of Studies in all Key Learning Areas. These principles are framed by a Biblical worldview and form the basis of our teaching as set out in detailed policy documents that are approved, monitored and updated by the School Board via regular inspections.
We provide a caring environment that draws out the best in each child’s endeavours and this involves building their spiritual insight, mental application and social responsibility. Teaching the appropriate place of competition and co-operation, the value of self-discipline and the joy of being Christians, we actively seek to empower children to be followers of Jesus in an age-specific way.
We are an inclusive school, extending and supporting all students through small class sizes and individual attention. Our English as a Second Language (ESL), Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and Special Needs programs keep us in the forefront of parents’ minds when considering the best school for their child’s unique learning journey.
We have been blessed by maintaining an excellent academic record with consistently strong outcomes, being the school with the most significant student gains from Year 3 to Year 5 of schools within the local area in 2014. This is a clear indication of what a strong team with deeply committed attitudes can produce.
